Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) distributed Eid gifts to its members and staff on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, aiming to promote welfare, unity, and morale among personnel.
The concluding ceremony of the initiative was held on Saturday at the headquarters in Khilgaon, Dhaka, with Director General of the force, Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud, attending as chief guest.
Under the programme, 28,365 beneficiaries, including members from all 64 districts and fourth-grade staff, received gift packages. The parcels contained rice for pilaf, semai, semolina, powdered milk, noodles, sugar, and assorted cooking spices.
Speaking at the event, the Director General urged members to advance with organisation and determination towards the implementation of the 2035 reform plan. “This is not the time to look back; we must utilise future opportunities and move forward with confidence,” he said.
He added that the force’s capacity is steadily growing and that combined efforts and dedication will accelerate progress. He called on every member to perform their duties with responsibility, discipline, and commitment.
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Director General, officers of various ranks, and staff members. Officials said the Eid gift distribution will foster festive joy, strengthen mutual goodwill, and motivate personnel, positively impacting the force’s overall morale, unity, and operational efficiency.
