Bangladesh Football Federation president Tabith Awal visited the Bangladesh women’s national team camp in Bangkok on Friday as the squad stepped up preparations for the SAFF Women’s Championship 2026.
Tabith went to the Alpine Sports Training Camp, where the team is holding its two week camp before traveling to Goa for the tournament.
During his visit, he met Alpine Sports Group managing director Adisak Soonntaros and thanked the hosts for their support and hospitality.
He also spoke about future cooperation between Bangladesh Football Federation and Alpine Sports Group to help improve football facilities and training chances.
After the meeting, Tabith toured the camp facilities, including the training ground and dressing rooms.
He later met the players and team officials and encouraged the squad ahead of the SAFF Women’s Championship.
Bangladesh also continued their scheduled training on Friday. The session began with warm up work, stretching and passing drills before players moved into position based exercises.
Head coach Peter Butler then focused on tactics and match plans for the team’s next practice game. The session ended with finishing drills and set piece work.
Bangladesh will play a closed door friendly against Bangkok Women’s FC on Saturday as part of their final preparations. The team will leave Bangkok on May 21 after completing the camp.
