A total of 27,325 Hajj pilgrims from Bangladesh have reached Saudi Arabia in the first four days of Hajj travel, according to the Hajj bulletin.

Director of the Bangladesh Hajj Office Lokman Hossain said 58 flights landed in Jeddah by 10 am on Thursday.

He said 78,500 people from Bangladesh have been approved to perform Hajj this year. Of them, 660 agencies are managing Hajj operations under the private arrangement. This includes 30 lead agencies and 630 coordinating agencies.

Airline-wise data shows 10,747 pilgrims arrived on 26 flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines. Saudi Airlines carried 9,782 pilgrims on 125 flights, while Flynas Airlines transported 6,796 pilgrims on 117 flights.

The remaining 50,964 pilgrims will arrive gradually on designated flights, he added.

According to Hajj Office data, 4,565 pilgrims will perform Hajj under government management, while 73,935 will travel under private arrangements.

The Hajj is scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia on 26 May, subject to moon sighting.
