The government has transferred six Superintendents of Police (SPs) in a fresh administrative reshuffle, including postings in Sherpur, Natore, and Khulna districts.
The transfer order was issued on Tuesday by the Police-1 Branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs and signed by Deputy Secretary Tausif Ahmed.
According to the notification, Sherpur SP Md Kamrul Islam has been transferred to the Khulna Range DIG office.
Mohammad Tajul Islam, deputy commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police, has been appointed as the new SP of Khulna district, while outgoing Khulna SP Md Mahbubur Rahman has been posted to the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).
AKM Zahirul Islam, deputy commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, has been appointed as the new SP of Sherpur district.
In another change, Natore SP Muhammad Abdul Wahab has been transferred to the Armed Police Battalion (APBn), while PBI Superintendent Md Shariful Haque has been appointed as the new SP of Natore district.
Officials said the reshuffle is part of regular administrative adjustments within the police force.
