The spy thriller Dhurandhar: The Revenge has unleashed a global box office “tsunami,” raking in ₹501.04 crore gross worldwide within just three days of its release.
Starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has already surpassed the lifetime collections of several major blockbusters, including Dunki, War, and Tiger 3, reports Indian media.
Unprecedented domestic run Released on March 19, 2026, following record-breaking paid previews on March 18 that generated ₹75 crore gross (₹43 crore net), the film has witnessed an extraordinary run in India.
The domestic net collection currently stands at ₹339.37 crore, with a gross total of ₹404.54 crore.
After a massive opening day of ₹102.55 crore net, the film saw a Saturday surge of ₹113 crore – a 40 per cent jump from Friday’s ₹80.72 crore. Industry trackers note that Dhurandhar 2 is now the highest-grossing Indian film of 2026, overtaking Border 2’s ₹470 crore mark in record time.
International performance and predictions The film’s success is bolstered by a strong international showing, including a $7 million opening in North America – the highest premiere collection for a Bollywood film in the region.
Total overseas collections reached approximately ₹132 crore ($16 million) by Saturday.
Analysts predict the film could cross the ₹700 crore mark worldwide by the end of Sunday, with projections suggesting a potential single-day net of ₹130 crore for the final day of the weekend.
Trade insiders suggest the film is poised to enter the top 10 highest-grossing Bollywood films of all time.
A pan-Indian phenomenon The film’s five-language release strategy—comprising Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam—has turned the franchise into a pan-Indian phenomenon.
While the Hindi version leads with ₹105 crore so far, the multilingual approach has significantly expanded its reach.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film features Ranveer Singh in the lead as Jaskirat Singh Rangi.
The ensemble cast, which has received widespread praise, includes Sanjay Dutt as SP Choudhary Aslam, Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal, and R. Madhavan as Ajay Sanyal, alongside Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi.
This second and final instalment of the duology follows the 2025 blockbuster Dhurandhar, which earned ₹1,300 crore worldwide. With strong word-of-mouth and critical appreciation, the sequel looks set to challenge its predecessor’s record-breaking performance.
