NCP plans to organise bigger and more coordinated Eid processions in Dhaka in the coming years, party spokesperson Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain said on Saturday.
He spoke to reporters while participating in an Eid procession organised under the banner of civil society in the capital.

Acknowledging logistical challenges during this year’s event, Asif Mahmud said, “There were some management issues this Eid, but we hope to learn from these experiences and organise more structured and extensive events in the future.”
Emphasising unity over political differences, he added, “We hope everyone will come together to move the country forward, putting aside political divides.”

The procession also sought to revive the traditional joy of Eid from the Sultanate era, with participants joining spontaneously. “We aim to make such celebrations an annual tradition,” he said.
In addition, the Eid march served as a platform to protest ongoing injustices and persecution faced by Muslims worldwide. Asif Mahmud expressed hope that global efforts to end such oppression would gain greater momentum.
