The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain and thundershowers in several areas of eight divisions including Dhaka over the 24 hours beginning 9am on Sunday.
According to a latest bulletin, rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds and lightning are likely at a few places in Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, and at one or two places in Rajshahi, Khulna, and Barishal divisions.
Hailstorms may occur at isolated spots, it said.
Day and night temperatures are expected to drop slightly across the country.
The Met office added that a trough of low lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas, while a seasonal low persists over the South Bay.
