Al-Arafah Islami Bank distributed iftar items among its sub-staff at different levels to mark the holy month of Ramadan.
The programme was inaugurated on Tuesday at the bank’s head office by Al-Arafah Islami Bank Managing Director and CEO Mohd Rafat Ullah Khan, according to a press release.
Speaking at the event, he said Ramadan reflects the values of restraint, self-purification, compassion and mutual care.
He said supporting employees and strengthening solidarity within the organisation are part of those values and expressed hope that the initiative would further enhance harmony and cooperation among staff members.
Al-Arafah Islami Bank Deputy Managing Directors Md Fazlur Rahman, Md Asaduzzaman Bhuiyan and Mohammed Hossain, along with heads of different divisions and senior officials of the bank, were present at the programme.
The bank said it regularly undertakes welfare initiatives for its officers and employees during Ramadan.
Alongside its Shariah-based banking operations, the bank also carries out programmes in education, health, disaster relief and humanitarian assistance as part of its corporate social responsibility activities.
