The Bangladesh Embassy in Beirut has issued an urgent advisory for its nationals to evacuate several locations in Lebanon and seek safer ground following an escalation of hostilities in parts of the country.

In a special notice released on Sunday, the mission specifically called upon Bangladeshi citizens residing in Beirut’s southern suburbs – including Dahiyeh, Burj al-Barajneh, and Hadath – to relocate to secure areas immediately.

The embassy further urged the community to maintain high levels of vigilance as the security environment continues to deteriorate.

According to the mission, the directive was prompted by ongoing military operations conducted by Israeli forces in southern Beirut, which have significantly heightened tensions and safety concerns throughout the surrounding neighbourhoods.

Bangladeshi nationals situated in the affected zones have been instructed to take necessary precautions and move to secure shelters to ensure their protection.

The advisory comes as local residents are also reportedly moving to safer locations while the situation evolves across parts of the Lebanese capital.
