President Md Sahabuddin has accepted the resignations of two judges from the High Court Division of the Supreme Court.
The judges are Justice Mamunur Rahman and Justice Naima Haider.
According to separate gazette notifications issued Monday by the Ministry of Law, the judges submitted signed resignation letters addressed to the President under Article 96(8) of the Constitution.
Justice Naima Haider had initially submitted her resignation to the Chief Justice on February 5 for transmission to the President.
Following the acceptance of their letters, the resignations have become effective immediately.
