Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) will provide escort services for the transport of cash and valuables during Ramadan and upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
This information was shared in a press release on Thursday.
According to DMP, trade, commerce, and the transaction or transfer of money and valuables significantly increase during Ramadan and the Eid festival.
In this period, anyone wishing to move a large amount of cash or valuables from one location to another can seek police assistance.
Muhammad Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner (DMP Media and Public Relations Division), stated that they will provide escort services if any individual, bank, or financial institution perceives a risk in transporting money or valuables. However, those seeking the service must arrange their own vehicles.
Interested parties have been advised to contact their respective police stations or the DMP Control Room.
