A man was killed after being hit by a vehicle on the Postogola Bridge in Dhaka’s Shyampur area early Monday.
The deceased was identified as Abdur Rahim, 45.
Police said the accident occurred around 12:30am when Rahim was crossing the road.
Pedestrians rescued him and took him to a local hospital before shifting him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries around 3am.
Shyampur Police Station’s Sub-inspector (SI) Mainuddin Talukdar said the vehicle involved could not be identified immediately.
Rahim, from Tarash upazila in Sirajganj, was the owner of a shop in his village.
