Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), the student wing of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has reconstituted its organisational committees across 19 private universities in Dhaka.
The newly approved committees, authorised by JCD Private University Unit President Md Abu Horaira and General Secretary M Rajibul Islam Talukder Bindu, cover BRAC University, Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, University of Asia Pacific, Southeast University, Northern University Bangladesh, BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology, World University of Bangladesh, Prime Asia University, Presidency University, International University of Business Agriculture and Technology, Bangladesh University of Business and Technology, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, Bangladesh University, People’s University of Bangladesh, Manarat International University, Gono Bishwabidyalay, Asian University, and City University, according to a press release issued on Thursday.
The organisational reshuffle comes at a time when JCD political activities in private universities have remained relatively low-key compared to their public university counterparts since the July uprising. The press release outlined the structural changes along with the names of new committee members and their specific roles.
