BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman is scheduled to address a public rally at the BRB Ground in Bhashantek, located within his Dhaka-17 constituency, on Friday evening.

This follows a marathon 16-hour election campaign tour spanning seven districts, which concluded when he returned to the capital at dawn.

Tarique officially inaugurated his campaign for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election on Thursday morning by visiting the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) and Hazrat Shah Paran (RA) in Sylhet.

During the journey, large crowds were observed attending rallies until the late hours of the night.

The BNP chairman sought votes for the ‘Sheaf of Paddy’ symbol and for candidates from allied parties under seat-sharing agreements.

He promised that if BNP forms the government, they will implement nationwide canal-digging, introduce family and farmer cards, provide training-based employment for the youth, and offer honourariums for Imams and Muezzins.

The campaign trail included a rally at the Sylhet Alia Madrasa ground, followed by stops in Moulvibazar at 3pm, Habiganj at 6:15pm, and Sarail in Brahmanbaria at 10:30pm.

The tour continued with rallies in Bhairab, Kishoreganj, at 12:15am, Narsingdi Pourashava Park at 3am, and finally at Gausia in Rupganj, Narayanganj, at 4:15am.

Tarique expressed regret to party activists for the long waits into the early hours of the morning. The BNP Media Cell confirmed that he returned to his Gulshan residence at dawn after completing the seven-district tour.
