The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has decided to file a case against journalist Anis Alamgir over allegations of acquiring wealth beyond known sources of income and money laundering. The commission disclosed this information in a press release issued on Thursday.
ACC alleged that Anis Alamgir’s total assets amount to Tk4.25 crore. However, he reported net assets of Tk57.99 lakh in his income tax documents.
The commission further claimed that Anis Alamgir concealed information regarding assets worth Tk 3.26 crore.
