The children’s album ‘Hau Mau Khau’, part of the ‘Ek Nirjharer Gaan-e Shishutosh’ series, is being released. The album features five children’s songs written and composed by Enamul Karim Nirjhar, with music arranged by Autumnal Moon. Created through a joint CSR–ISR process, the project has been funded through CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) support.
As part of the ongoing CSR–ISR collaborative initiative, the songs have been performed by Mrinmayee Megha, Arani Kathleen Murmu, Samah Fatiha Sayeed, Prafulla Angshuman and Tanveer Alam Shawjeeb.
Enamul Karim Nirjhar explained that the album’s songs explore a wide range of themes: the emotional diversity of children and adolescents, their imagination, frustrations and complaints, how they see nature, their expectations of adults and, in contrast, how adults view them.
Singer Tanvir Alam Sajeeb, who contributed to the album, spoke about the experience of stepping outside his usual style to perform songs for children.
“I had to step out of my own character to sing these songs. Nirjhar bhai is eccentric as always. Whenever something a little different comes up, it turns into a kind of ritual. You have to sing this way, then that way. Each song becomes its own creative ritual. So singing with him is always a varied experience. It was the same this time. I believe the audience will enjoy the songs.”
The album’s title track, Hau Mau Khau, will be released today at 7 pm on Gaanshala’s YouTube channel.
The premier will be followed by other four tracks: ‘Hattimatim Tim’, ‘Tiring Biring Foring Takey’, ‘Chotoder Gaan Niye’ and ‘Ei Tui Ki Korchish?’
The title track has been sung by child artist Mrinmayee Megha, for whom this was the first-ever recording experience.
Reflecting on the experience, she said, “It was my first recording. I couldn’t believe it. I was so happy and excited. I tried to give my best.”
Gaanshala continues to work to strengthen the CSR–ISR joint process, aiming to create sustainable income opportunities for music professionals.
Several musical projects have already been released under this initiative.
