At least one child was killed and two others injured when a local -made crude bomb blasted in Jessore’s Shankarpur area around 8:00am on Monday.
Khadija, 5, has been killed in the blast, while her brother Sajib, 6, and Ayesha, 3, were injured. Sajib was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for advanced treatment, a police inspector at Kotwali Model Thana says.
Khadija is reported to have picked up the object, thinking it was a toy before the blast occurred, he added.
