The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 38 people in a 24-hour citywide crackdown under “Operation Devil Hunt Phase 2.”
According to a press release issued on Thursday, the raids were carried out by police from different stations, including Lalbagh, Demra, Sutrapur, Mohammadpur, Pallabi, Kafrul, Adabor, Jatrabari, Kadamtoli, Shahbagh, Wari, Bhasantek, and Hatirjheel.
The highest number of arrests was recorded at Shahbagh Police Station, where 12 suspects were taken into custody, followed by six arrests in Mohammadpur and five in Jatrabari.
Furthermore, three individuals were arrested each in Sutrapur and Kadamtoli, while two were apprehended in Lalbagh. One arrest was made at each of the following stations: Demra, Pallabi, Kafrul, Adabor, Wari, Bhasantek, and Hatirjheel.
The DMP said all those arrested have been produced before the court.
