Miscreants set three buses on fire at separate locations in Bhogra of Gazipur and Sreepur, with no casualties reported, authorities said.
Gazipur Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Mohammad Mamun said a VIP bus was torched at the Peyara Bagan area of the Bhogra Bypass around 4:00am on Wednesday.
He said another bus was set ablaze at the Beraider Chala area in Sreepur at 4:50am the same day.
Two units of the Modern Fire Service responded promptly and brought the fires under control, he added.
Earlier, miscreants set fire to a parked passenger bus at the Chakraborty area in Gazipur at around 10:30pm on Tuesday.
The arson attack took place in front of the Jyoti CNG Filling Station beside the Chandra–Nabinagar road.
Police said the attackers arrived on a motorcycle, torched the bus and fled the scene immediately.
