A total of 264 officers of the BCS Administration cadre have been promoted to the rank of Senior Assistant Secretary.
The promotion was announced through an official notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday.
Following the promotion, the officers will now receive salaries and allowances under Grade 6 of the National Pay Scale 2015, ranging from BDT 35,500 to 67,010.
Sources said the promotions were granted to officers who successfully passed the senior scale examination conducted by the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC).
In separate notifications, the ministry instructed that the promoted officers report via email to the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration as Officers on Special Duty. They will continue to serve at their current workplaces until further orders.
