Law enforcement agencies have detained two students on allegations of involvement with a banned organisation.
One of the detainees has been identified as Abdul Kader, a resident of Bijoy Ekattor Hall at Dhaka University. The identity of the other student is still being verified, according to a press release.
Authorities are examining the pair’s organisational affiliations, recent communications, and social media activity.
Investigations are also underway to determine whether they took part in any specific programmes or organisational tasks.
Officials added that a process is in motion to confirm through relevant authorities if there are any cases, complaints, or prior legal records against the individuals.
