A total of 17 commissioners of the National Board of Revenue were transferred on 31 December, according to an official notification.
The transfer order was signed by Mohammad Abul Mansur, Senior Assistant Secretary of Customs and VAT Administration-1 of the National Board of Revenue and issued this evening.
The notification said the transfers were approved by the relevant authorities and processed through the Election Commission Secretariat of the Bangladesh Election Commission, with the order taking immediate effect in the public interest.
The move follows approval for the posting of officials and employees working in Customs and VAT sub-divisions under the National Board of Revenue to newly created offices, as well as for inter-departmental transfers, the notification said.
The transferred officers have been requested to submit copies of their joining letters to the Customs and VAT Administration-1 Branch of the National Board of Revenue, according to the release.
