Sources said the woman, from Habibpur Mollapara in Sailkupa Municipality, married Md Nazmul Khondakar against her family’s wishes. The couple lived in a rented house in Jhenaidah municipality. Nazmul divorced her last Thursday.

After eating, she was waiting for a rickshaw by the road. A white microbus then pulled up. Several men forced her inside. They bound her eyes and mouth with cloth and drove her around.
