Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Chandrasekar Joseph Vijay took the oath in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on Sunday as Tamil Nadu’s new chief minister.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was present at the swearing-in ceremony, reports NDTV.
“Vande Mataram” echoed through the stadium in Chennai, followed by the national anthem preceding the oath.
Nine ministers took oath as Vijay’s cabinet ministers.
