Every year during Eid, Maasranga Television airs the world television premiere of commercially successful and trending films. This year, they will premiere Utshob and Kajolrekha. A few more films will also be telecast during the Eid festival.
Tanim Noor’s film Utshob will be aired on Eid day at 2:20 pm. The film features Jahid Hasan, Jaya Ahsan, Chanchal Chowdhury, Aupee Karim, Soumya Jyoti, Sadia Ayman, Afsana Mimi, Azad Abul Kalam, Entekhab Dinar and Sunerah Binte Kamal in various roles.
The world television premiere of Gias Uddin Selim’s Kajolrekha will be aired at 2:20 pm on the third day of Eid. Released during the 2024 Ramadan Eid, the film stars Sariful Razz, Mandira Chakraborty, Sadia Ayman, Rafiath Rashid Mithila, Iresh Zaker, Azad Abul Kalam and Khairul Basar. The film is based on the 400-year-old folk ballad ‘Maimansingha Gitika’. It was also screened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Due to its artistic value and historical context, the film has been included in the curriculum of the Department of History at Dhaka University.
In the Eid programming schedule, a Bangla film will be aired every day at 2:20 pm. On the second day, ‘Priyotoma’ (2023), directed by HimeI Ashraf, will be aired, starring Shakib Khan, Idhika Paul and Shahiduzzaman Selim. On the fourth day, Jongli (2023), directed by M. Rahim, will be aired, starring Siam Ahmed, Bubly and Dighi. On the fifth day, ‘Toofan’ (2024), directed by Raihan Rafi, will be aired, starring Shakib Khan, Mimi Chakraborty and Masuma Rahman Nabila.
On the sixth day, ‘Hawa’ (2022), directed by Mejbaur Rahman Sumon, will be aired, starring Chanchal Chowdhury, Nazifa Tushi and Shariful Razz. On the seventh day, ‘Dard’ (2024), directed by Anonno Mamun, will be aired, starring Shakib Khan and Sonal Chauhan.
