Urvashi Rautela once again stole the spotlight at the Miss Universe India 2026 finale, making a bold fashion statement in a tricolour-inspired gown, reports Free Press Journal.
The actress and former beauty queen attended the finale in Jaipur as one of the jury members, dressed in a dramatic ensemble inspired by the colours of the Indian national flag.
The strapless, figure-hugging gown featured sweeping panels of saffron, white and deep green that accentuated her silhouette before extending into a floor-length train.
A blue circular motif inspired by the Ashoka Chakra added another distinctly Indian element to the look.
The outfit was further embellished with cascading silver crystals and pearl-like fringe across the shoulder and upper arm, adding movement and sparkle to the dramatic ensemble.
Rautela complemented the gown with oversized diamond drop earrings, layered silver-toned bangles and statement rings.
She opted for sharply defined eyes, sculpted cheeks, a rosy complexion and a soft nude-pink lip, while a sleek high ponytail kept the focus on the gown’s neckline and shoulder detailing.
Speaking about her outfit, Rautela said, “I had said, I am India. So, I truly feel like an India today, and I’m wearing this dress, as you all can see, which is inspired by the national flag.”
Rautela, who judged the Miss Universe India competition for the third time, received plenty of attention for the patriotic look.
However, the outfit also divided opinion online.
While some social media users praised the gown for its bold interpretation of the national colours, others criticised the design and described it as “disrespectful”.
Despite the mixed reactions, Rautela’s appearance became one of the talking points of the 2026 finale, with her dramatic red-carpet style once again commanding attention.
