upay has partnered with Natural Indigo Limited to provide digital payroll services to the ready-made garment manufacturer’s employees, enabling faster salary disbursement and easier access to earnings.
Under the partnership, garment workers will receive their salaries through upay’s mobile financial services platform, the press release added.
The agreement was signed by upay Managing Director Shyamol B Das and Natural Indigo Managing Director Abdul Quader. Javed Ahmed, director of operations at Natural Indigo, and upay Corporate Business Head Sajjad Alam were also present at the programme. UCB Senior Executive Vice President Shahbaj Talat and RMG Business General Manager Nuruzzaman attended the signing ceremony at Natural Indigo’s office.
Officials from both organisations said the initiative aims to increase digital transaction use in the RMG sector while making financial services more accessible to garment workers.
