Non-life insurer United Insurance Company Limited has received the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) Insurance Excellence Award 2025 in recognition of its contribution to Bangladesh’s insurance sector.
The award was presented to United Insurance Chairman Khandaker Moinul Ahsan at a ceremony organised by the IDRA.
The IDRA introduced the Insurance Excellence Award this year to promote ethical practices, transparency and good governance in the insurance industry, aiming to strengthen customer confidence.
United Insurance secured a place among the top five non-life insurance companies under the award framework.
The ceremony was held recently at a hotel in the capital.
Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser Dr Anisuzzaman Chowdhury attended as chief guest, while Financial Institutions Division Secretary Nazma Mobarek was present as special guest.
Others present included Bangladesh Insurance Association First Vice President Adiba Ahmed and Bangladesh Insurance Forum President BM Yusuf Ali.
IDRA Member (administration) Md Fazlul Haque delivered the welcome address.
United Insurance Director Khandaker Zahin Ahsan was also present at the event.
Speaking after receiving the award, Chairman Khandaker Moinul Ahsan said the recognition would encourage the company to continue contributing to the development of the insurance sector.
Established in 1985, United Insurance is a publicly listed non-life insurer providing a range of insurance services across the country.
