United Finance has introduced URise, a dedicated loan programme for startups under Bangladesh Bank’s refinancing scheme, aiming to expand access to finance for new entrepreneurs.
The initiative was inaugurated at the company’s head office, where officials said the programme is designed to support innovation and ease funding constraints for early-stage ventures. Applications are being accepted digitally through the United Finance mobile app, UMA, to ensure a smoother and more accessible process.
Speaking at the event, Managing Director Mohammad Rafiqul Islam said United Finance has worked for 36 years to advance financial inclusion and support underserved communities. He said the company believes in the potential of young innovators and is offering Bangladesh Bank-supported startup loans at affordable cost through a simplified digital process.
Deputy Managing Director Mohammed Abul Ahasan and Head of SME and Women Entrepreneur Financing Sudip Saha also shared their views on the company’s expanded focus on startup financing.
Startups can apply directly through the UMA app, available on the App Store and Google Play.
