Unilever Bangladesh Limited (UBL) has won three major honours at the SDG Brand Champion Awards 2026, including the Most Sustainable Company of the Year title, for its sustainability initiatives spanning responsible business, partnerships and innovation.
The company said in a statement on Sunday that it also received the Most Sustainable FMCG Company of the Year award and the SDG Brand Champion award in the Sustainable Partnerships and Institutions category for its initiative Shohojatra: Co-Creating Impact.
UBL received two additional Honourable Mentions — in the Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure category for Smart Customer Logistics & Trade and in the Responsible Consumption and Production category for U-Refill 2.0 and Reengineering Packaging.
Organised by Bangladesh Brand Forum as part of the Bangladesh Sustainable Summit, the SDG Brand Champion Awards recognise organisations that contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through responsible business practices, innovation, partnerships and measurable impact.
UBL said the recognitions reflect its efforts to develop partnerships with government agencies, development organisations and communities while promoting more sustainable models of production and consumption.
The company said its sustainability programmes are integrated across its operations, with a focus on innovation, resource efficiency and long-term value creation for consumers and communities.
The awards were received on behalf of UBL by Syeda Durdana Kabir, human resources director, and Shadman Sadikin, customer business development head, at a ceremony attended by business leaders, development partners and sustainability experts.
Operating in Bangladesh for more than six decades, UBL is one of the country’s largest fast-moving consumer goods companies, with brands including Lux, Lifebuoy, Surf Excel, Closeup, Sunsilk, Ponds, Vaseline and Dove.
