UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus and PHP Motors Limited have formalised a partnership to expand internships, training programmes, and industry-linked learning opportunities for students. The collaboration, signed via a Memorandum of Understanding, aims to strengthen the connection between academic study and practical industry experience.
The Malaysian-origin university and the automotive arm of the major PHP Family conglomerate plan to create structured pathways for students. These will include engagement in professional workshops, research activities, and career development initiatives designed to support student growth.
The agreement was signed at a ceremony at UCSI University’s Banani campus in Dhaka. The event was attended by Malaysian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Mohd Shuhada Othman, who served as chief guest. He remarked that the cooperation marks meaningful progress and will assist Bangladeshi students in acquiring skills aligned with international standards.

Senior representatives from both institutions were present, including PHP Motors managing director Mohammad Akhtar Parvez and UCSI University Bangladesh pro vice chancellor Professor Dr Mohd Kushairi Bin Mohd Rajuddin.
Professor Kushairi stated the university’s pursuit of academic excellence would be supported by the partnership, which he believes will benefit both institutions. Mohammad Akhtar Parvez noted the collaboration will open new opportunities for students, adding that supporting young learners is an important responsibility for industry.
Under the terms of the collaboration, the two organisations will work jointly on internships, training programmes, seminars, and workshops.
