Jamuna Bank PLC has signed a foreign remittance drawing agreement with Malaysia-based Horizon Remit Sdn Bhd, expanding the bank’s international remittance network and strengthening its services for Bangladeshi expatriates.

According to the bank, the partnership focuses on deeper operational cooperation and improved service delivery aimed at ensuring faster, more reliable cross-border remittance flows. The agreement is also expected to widen financial access for overseas Bangladeshis by promoting Jamuna Bank’s account-opening services and Wage Earners’ Remittance Bonds among expatriates in Malaysia.

The signing ceremony brought together senior representatives of both organisations. Horizon Remit Chief Executive Officer Abdul Wahab Bin Abdul Aziz and Jamuna Bank Head of NRB Banking & FR Division Md Abdus Sobhan were present at the event alongside other officials of the Malaysian company, the bank said.

Jamuna Bank said it remains committed to expanding global partnerships to support Bangladesh’s remittance inflow and improve services for non-resident Bangladeshis. The agreement reflects its ongoing efforts to enhance service quality and strengthen its international footprint.
