The bodies of two women were recovered from the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) premises on Monday morning.
The deceased were aged around 55 and 60 years of age. The identities of the women were not known immediately.
Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH Police Camp, confirmed the matter.
Police recovered the bodies near the DMCH emergency department around 10am.
Inspector Faruk said the two women were homeless who roamed around the hospital grounds. It is primarily suspected that they died due to illness, he added.
The bodies have been sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
