Police in Senbag upazila of Noakhali have arrested two more accused in connection with the murder of school student Arafat Hossain Fahim.
With the latest arrests, three people, including the prime accused Harun, have so far been taken into custody in the case.
The two arrested were identified as Md Momin Ullah, 50, listed as the fourth accused in the case, and Md Jahangir, 24, the fifth accused.
Police said they were arrested at around 10pm on Monday during a raid in the Bandar area of Narayanganj.
Earlier, the prime accused Harun-ur-Rashid, 42, was arrested. Acting on his information, intelligence inputs and digital tracking, police conducted the operation and detained the two others.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance) Abu Tayeb Md Arif Hossain said legal procedures against the arrested suspects were underway.
He added that drives were continuing to arrest the remaining accused in the case.
According to police and case details, the incident took place at around 8:40pm on 10 June when Fahim, 17, a local school student, was stabbed following an altercation linked to obstruction over drug dealing and consumption activities.
