US President Donald Trump toured Graceland on Monday, expressing admiration for Elvis Presley, the King of Rock and Roll.

Trump, who has met global royalty but never Presley, described the singer as someone he would have liked to meet. “I do like his music,” he said, noting that Presley was born just 11 years before him. During the tour, Presley’s cover of ‘How Great Thou Art’ played in the background as Trump repeatedly declared, “I love Elvis.”

The former president toured the estate with administration officials, including US Attorney General Pam Bondi. He highlighted Presley’s close relationship with his mother and praised the unique design choices in the house, including the Jungle Room with its animal print décor and carpeted ceiling.

Trump also signed a replica black guitar from Presley’s Hawaii concert, calling it a “big honor” and demonstrating care with the pen. When asked about his favourite Presley song, he singled out ‘Hurt’ from 1976.
