Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) is set to inaugurate its ‘Anti-Corruption Cartoon Competition 2025’ and the accompanying ‘Anti-Corruption Cartoon Exhibition 2025’ on Wednesday, marking International Anti-Corruption Day.The event will take place at Bakultala, Faculty of Fine Arts, Dhaka University, commencing at 3:00 pm.
The exhibition will showcase selected works from this year’s competition, highlighting how young artists and cartoonists interpret corruption and accountability through humour, satire and visual storytelling. TIB says the initiative aims to engage the public, particularly students and emerging artists, in conversations around integrity and social responsibility.
Top officials from various embassies in Dhaka are expected to attend the inauguration, along with TIB Executive Director Dr Iftekharuzzaman.
TIB’s Outreach and Communication Director, Mohammad Touhidul Islam, said the organisation hopes the event will amplify youth voices and strengthen cultural expressions against corruption. Media outlets have been invited to cover the programme, including capturing photographs and video from the exhibition.
The annual competition and exhibition have become a staple in TIB’s cultural outreach efforts, using art as a tool to promote transparency and civic awareness.
