Three more people died with measles symptoms across Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths among people with suspected measles to 829 since 15 March.
The data were released by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) control room in a press statement on Friday.
According to the statement, 876 new people were identified with measles symptoms in the past 24 hours.
Between 15 March and 21 August, a total of 1,47,591 people were reported with measles symptoms across the country.
The number of confirmed measles cases rose by 64 in the past 24 hours, bringing the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 18,208 since 15 March.
During the same period, 1,28,825 people with measles symptoms were admitted to hospitals, while 1,24,558 patients recovered and were discharged.
No deaths from confirmed measles were reported in the past 24 hours. However, 99 people have died from confirmed measles since 15 March, according to the DGHS.
