Biting cold gripped Chuadanga as icy winds, dense fog and a cloudy sky intensified the winter chill across the district.
The minimum temperature dropped to 8.2 degrees Celsius at 6:00am on Wednesday, while the sun remained absent, worsening the cold conditions.
The Chuadanga weather office said daily life has been affected by cold northern winds, thick fog and persistent cloud cover, with strong winds making the cold feel more severe.
The harsh weather has left day labourers and destitute people in severe distress, forcing many to struggle for warmth.
Roads saw fewer people as residents tried to cope with the cold, while some were seen burning straw and dry leaves to keep themselves warm.
