Global electronics maker TCL has formally launched operations in Bangladesh through an exclusive partnership with local conglomerate DX Group. The move includes plans for the local manufacturing of a range of TCL’s consumer appliances.
The announcement was made at an inauguration ceremony at Hotel Sheraton in Banani, Dhaka, attended by senior officials from both companies, corporate partners, and media personalities.
DX Group will oversee all marketing, distribution, and local production for the TCL brand, according to a press release.
TCL said they will produce televisions, air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines, aiming to provide competitive pricing and advanced technology to Bangladeshi consumers.
The company highlighted its long-term investment commitment and intent to develop local manufacturing infrastructure.
“Bangladesh is one of the fastest-growing markets for technology products,” said DX Group Founding CEO Dewan Kanon.
He noted that the partnership aims to bring world-class innovation to consumers while creating industrial opportunities and employment through local production.
