Veteran actor and filmmaker Tauquir Ahmed is set to return to the small screen this Eid-ul-Azha with a new special telefilm currently in production.
The project, titled ‘Zohra Begumer Ichchapotro’, marks Tauquir Ahmed’s return not only as an actor but also as the writer of the story. The telefilm is directed by Arif Khan and is being prepared as part of the Eid special lineup.
Tauquir Ahmed has described the narrative as a departure from typical festive content, noting that it explores different stages and emotional shifts in life rather than focusing solely on celebration. He also expressed confidence that the story will connect with audiences despite the growing volume of Eid releases.
Director Arif Khan praised the script, calling it a strong and thoughtfully written piece, while also commending Tauquir Ahmed’s performance and creative involvement. He added that the cast and crew have worked with dedication to bring the production together.
The telefilm features an ensemble cast including Mamunur Rashid, Ferdousi Mazumder, Afzal Hossain, Deepa Khandakar and Zakia Bari Mamo, among others
