BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman will visit Mymensingh on Tuesday after 22 years and address a public rally. During this visit, he will also speak at rallies in Gazipur and Dhaka’s Uttara.
As part of his election campaign in Mymensingh, Tarique will join the rally at the Circuit House Ground around 2:30pm.
After the Mymensingh rally, he will attend two more election rallies on his way back. He will address a rally at Gazipur’s Rajbari Ground around 6pm and another at the Azampur Eidgah Ground in Uttara around 7pm.
He is expected to reach his residence in Gulshan at 8pm after completing the programmes.
He last held an election rally virtually at the Hatiya Dwip Government College field in Hatiya, Noakhali, on Monday.
In preparation for his visit, BNP’s Mymensingh metropolitan unit held a preparatory meeting on Sunday.
The meeting, held at the Tarique Smriti Auditorium of the Town Hall, was chaired by Metropolitan BNP Convener Shafiqul Islam, with BNP Mymensingh Divisional Organising Secretary Shariful Alam attending as the chief guest.
BNP leaders and activists, including party candidates from 24 constituencies across the division and representatives of BNP’s affiliated organisations, were present at the meeting.
