BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman has expressed his sorrow and condolences to the families affected by the fire that ravaged the Korail slum in Dhaka’s Mohakhali.
Tarique shared his reaction in a Facebook post, expressing grief over the dire situation and solidarity with the victims who have suffered immense losses.
In his post, he said, “I express my deepest sympathies to the families affected by this dangerous fire. I strongly hope they will show patience and resilience during this difficult time.”
He expressed hope that the emergency response would quickly contain the flames to prevent further devastation and emphasised that the tragic incident should not claim any lives.
Tarique also commended the relentless efforts of the fire service personnel and local community members who jointly battled the blaze. He affirmed that his party stands in complete unity with these brave individuals working on the front lines to extinguish the fire and manage the crisis.
