The broadcast equipment used in the recently concluded ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will also be deployed in the upcoming Bangladesh-Pakistan One Day International series.
This will mark the first time that such advanced equipment is being used in a bilateral series involving Bangladesh, raising the standard of production quality.
One of the world’s leading broadcast equipment providers, NEP, has sent the equipment via a chartered flight, and it is ready for deployment in the forthcoming home series.
NEP Group, a US-based privately owned international production company, provides outsourced tele-production services for major events worldwide. Its equipment has been used to produce television broadcasts of the Indian Premier League, Cricket World Cup, Super Bowl, Premier League, UEFA Champions League, Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup, Wimbledon, and numerous other major sporting events.
For the Bangladesh-Pakistan series, Imago Sports Management Limited, in collaboration with NEP, will handle the broadcast.
Viewers can expect a new level of excitement during the ODIs, as Glassvalley LDX150 cameras will be used to deliver higher-quality visuals.
An official working closely with the project said to ‘The Daily Sun’ that the cameras, with a 150X zoom, will provide clearer and more detailed images compared to previous broadcasts, which used a maximum zoom of 110X. All lenses deployed for the series will support 4K resolution, ensuring sharper and more immersive coverage.
