Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s star-studded wedding has inspired one of its most unusual souvenirs, with street rubbish collected outside the venue selling out within hours after being turned into limited-edition collectables.
According to Hindustan Times, artist Justin Gignac gathered litter from outside New York’s Madison Square Garden, where the singer-songwriter and NFL star tied the knot on 3 July. He sealed the items inside his signature acrylic cubes and released the collection under the title ‘New York City Garbage: Not Invited Edition.’
Some of the cubes carried the stamp “JUST&T MARRIED! 7/3/26,” matching the illuminated sign displayed outside the venue following the wedding ceremony.
The unusual keepsakes were priced at $25 for miniature cubes and $100 for larger editions. The entire collection sold out almost immediately.
Each cube contained items collected from outside the tightly secured venue, including used straws, bottle caps, plastic cutlery, cigarette butts, a stray AirPod, a Ring Pop and even an unused ovulation test kit.
Gignac reportedly produced more than 1,300 signed, odour-free cubes, turning discarded wedding-day litter into highly sought-after memorabilia.
The quirky project has once again highlighted the remarkable enthusiasm of Swift’s fanbase, proving that, for some devoted Swifties, even rubbish left behind after the singer’s wedding can become a prized collector’s item.
