State Minister for Power and Energy Anindya Islam Amit said recent media reports about a gas price increase are incorrect.
He clarified that the government has no plan to raise gas prices. “The news published in the media does not reflect reality,” he said Saturday night.
In a statement to the media, the state minister said, “Information should be disseminated responsibly instead of creating unnecessary confusion about gas prices. Such baseless reports can cause anxiety and confusion among the public.”
He urged all concerned not to be misled by reports of a price hike and called on everyone to rely on official announcements or government sources from the Ministry of Power and Energy for accurate information.
