Southeast Bank PLC has relocated its Kawran Bazar Branch to a larger and more modern space within the same building, shifting operations from the semi-basement to the second floor of Jamuna Bhaban in Dhaka’s Kawran Bazar Commercial Area as of 15 April.

The move is aimed at accommodating a growing customer base while improving service delivery in one of the capital’s busiest commercial zones.

An inauguration ceremony was held at the new premises, attended by Southeast Bank Managing Director and CEO Md Khalid Mahmood Khan and Additional Managing Director Abidur Rahman Chowdhury, alongside senior bank officials, members of the local business community, clients and other guests.

In addition to conventional banking operations, the branch has been equipped to offer Islamic banking services integrated with digital facilities, reflecting the lender’s focus on diversifying its service offerings.

The relocation underscores Southeast Bank’s strategy to strengthen its footprint in key commercial hubs while advancing customer-centric financial services, as competition intensifies in Bangladesh’s urban banking sector.

The Kawran Bazar area remains a major business district, and the bank’s decision to upgrade its presence signals continued investment in physical infrastructure alongside digital banking capabilities.
