Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad has administered the oath of office to newly elected lawmakers Mirza Faisal Amin and Eliza Zaman.
The oath-taking ceremony was held at around 12pm on Tuesday at the Speaker’s office in the parliament. The ceremony was conducted by Parliament Secretariat Secretary Barrister Mohammad Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed attended the ceremony.
Following the oath-taking, the two newly elected MPs signed the oath book in the Parliament Secretary’s room, in accordance with parliamentary tradition.
The deputy speaker, chief whip, other whips, members of parliament and relevant officials of the Parliament Secretariat were also present.
