Universal College Bangladesh (UCBD) hosted the second session of its “Campus to Corporate” initiative on Monday, where Singer Bangladesh Limited Managing Director & CEO MHM Fairoz urged students to prioritise practical workplace skills alongside academic learning.
Speaking at the Dhaka event, Fairoz said corporate success increasingly depends on adaptability, communication and problem-solving skills developed through hands-on experience rather than classroom knowledge alone.
He told students that understanding workplace expectations early is critical to building sustainable careers in a competitive job market.
The session forms part of UCBD’s broader effort to narrow the gap between academic education and industry requirements by connecting students with business leaders and corporate practitioners.
STS Group and UCBD CEO Manas Singh said the initiative is designed to strengthen industry-academia engagement and give students direct exposure to corporate realities before entering the workforce.
The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session between students and the guest speaker.
