Adviser to the Ministry of Shipping and Ministry of Labour and Employment, Brigadier General (Retd) Dr M Sakhawat Hossain visited Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) to inquire about the health condition of Gono Odhikar Parishad President and former DUCSU VP Nurul Haque Nur, who is undergoing treatment in the ICU.
He arrived at DMCH at 10am on Monday and spoke with the doctors regarding Nurul Haque Nur’s treatment and health. He instructed the concerned doctors to ensure proper treatment for Nurul Haque Nur and the other injured.
Sakhawat said all necessary measures will be taken to provide advanced treatment for Nurul Haque Nur and the other injured.
The Director of Dhaka Medical College, Brigadier General Md Asaduzzaman, informed the adviser that a specialised medical board has been formed to monitor the treatment process of the injured.
He also mentioned that the government is monitoring round the clock to ensure the highest quality of advanced and modern medical services for them.
The adviser expressed deep sorrow over the deplorable attack and wished for Nurul Haque Nur’s speedy recovery. He also assured that the government would ensure exemplary punishment for those involved in this heinous attack.
The Director of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Brigadier General Md Asaduzzaman and other doctors were present at the time.
