Following their coalition’s decisive victory in the Dhaka University Central Student Union (DUCSU) and hall council elections, Islami Chhatra Shibir has announced a two-day program of activities.
On Wednesday (September 10), Shibir’s central president, Zahidul Islam, revealed the program in an official statement. The schedule includes a thanksgiving prayer session, visits to the graves of all July mass uprising martyrs, meetings with the families of martyrs and those injured during the election.
Specific dates for these events have not yet been finalized.
In the statement, the Shibir president said, “Through the victory of the ‘United Students’ Alliance,’ supported by Islami Chhatra Shibir, the students of Dhaka University are the true winners. We extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to those elected from various panels as well as independent candidates in this election.”
